San Diego is not well known for its museums, particularly in the art realm. The San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art is one of the beacons of hope. Although humble in size, it has become a haven for those who enjoy viewing works. The current exhibit contains masterful works from Basquiat, Tristano De Robiant, Jennifer Steinkamp, Martin Puryear, Sam Gilliam, James Vanderzee, Lorna Simpson, amounts others.
